Teamware to
build a third generation Web site for the Swedish Engineers
(17.1.2001)
The Swedish
Association of Engineers (Ingenjörsförbundet) has chosen
Teamware to build their new Web site on the Teamware Pl@za platform.
The renewed site will act as virtual meeting place for the Association's
members including discussion forums, wide contact network and information
adapted according to the needs of the users.
"We wanted
to create something new and exciting for our current and potential
members. With Teamware Pl@za it is possible for all those interested
in our activities to meet over the Web and communicate with each
other", said Chief Executive Bengt G Nilsson from Ingenjörsförbundet.
The project will be carried out in three phases. The first phase
includes the building of the Association's intranet and the second
phase covers the implementing of the extranet for the local representatives.
The revamped Internet site with member functions and public information
will be launched before summer. The site, www.ing.se,
will include most of the information that 11.000 members and others
interested need and are looking for.
"We chose
Teamware out of several options, because Pl@za fulfilled our demands
for functionalities and Teamware was able to offer us the total
solution from the technical platform to the design and content as
well as marketing know-how", Nilsson stated.
"This is
the first Pl@za win for the new Solution Center in Stockholm and
it proves that we are on the right track to success", said
Erik Andersson, Director of the Teamware Solution Center
in Sweden.
