Teamware Develops
a Decision Support System for Corporate Management Purposes (23.3.2001)

Teamware
Group, a Fujitsu subsidiary, has signed a partner agreement with
Modulsystem, a subsidiary of a Swedish holding company DAWA. Together
these two companies will develop a unique decision support system
called HBS (Human Business System). The new system is tailored for
corporate management needs and built on the Teamware Pl@za platform.
HBS is a subsystem
that completes the corporation's external ERP (Enterprise Resource
Planning) system with advanced decision support functionalities.
The whole new concept utilizes GPRS-technology and interactive Teamware
Pl@za features. By using GPRS-technology the system allows the user
to have a permanent access to updated company information adapted
according to his needs.
"This is
the only available solution that has been customized especially
for the special needs of the corporate management. It is based on
customer requirements and developed together with them. With Teamware
Pl@za's advanced user management functions we can create individual
profiles for all the users and guarantee them easy access to relevant
and current information", says chairman Hans Viklund
from DAWA.
HBS-system gathers
together external and internal information and distributes it to
the users. This is made possible by Teamware Pl@za's functionalities,
such as document management, discussion groups, IBC's (Interactive
Business Cards) and notification services as well as some tailor-made
applications.
"Thanks
to Teamware's consulting services and Teamware Pl@za solution, the
project has proceeded faster and smoother than we could ever imagine.
By the summer we will have the first HBS-system implemented and
by the end of the year we expect to have sold at least 30 solutions",
estimates Viklund.
