Teamware develops
interactive Web community for Financial Sector Union of Sweden
(7.6.2001)
Teamware
Group, a Fujitsu subsidiary, will build an interactive intranet/extranet/Internet
solution for the Financial Sector Union of Sweden, Finansförbundet.
Based on the Teamware Pl@za® platform the new solution will
provide more than 40 000 members of the Union with access to a virtual
meeting place that consists of updated and personalized information.
Finansförbundet
will use Teamware Pl@za to create an interactive member community
with discussion groups and online-meeting facilities. Teamware Pl@za
will be integrated with the Union's member database and personalized
according to individual user profiles. Therefore, each user will
find information tailored to his/her needs whenever he/she logs
in the system.
"The solution
offered by Teamware fulfilled our needs and requirements. Teamware
has a ready-made platform, Teamware Pl@za, with functionalities
especially adapted for member organizations. Therefore we don't
need to build a whole new solution from the very beginning",
says Leif Karlsson, Director of Information, Finansförbundet.
"Through
the improved availability, enhanced functionality and adapted content
our members will be provided a tool that gives them added value
and makes daily activities more effective. The new Web solution
will enhance interaction between the Union and its members and representatives."
The implementation
of the system will begin during the summer 2001. At the first stage
Teamware will develop an intranet service for the Union's 4000 representatives
as well as employees. Furthermore, an extranet will be built for
all the members and other important stakeholders. The new Web service
will be launched in mid-September.
