What’s new in Teamware Office 8.0

Teamware Office 8.0 concentrates on client features that offer end users more flexibility and power in managing information.

Key new features

Storypic6The Mail client is enhanced by new capabilities to handle HTML messages. Received HTML messages can be viewed in the message field. The HTML content is converted to RTF when an HTML message is forwarded or a reply is sent with a copy of the original content

Automatic server-side mail filters can be specified and activated in the Mail client. Messages that match the filter criteria are directed automatically to defined folders. Users can easily see which folders contain unread messages. Folder names of folders with unread messages are displayed in boldface font and a number of unread messages is attached to the folder name.

When the New Received view is applied to the mailbox all unread messages are shown in a single list regardless of the folder in which they are.

It is possible to copy an appointment or calendar URL and paste it to, for example, a mail message.

Teamware Office clients support Ipv6 connections.

WebService includes usability enhancements such as Next and Previous buttons in the read message window and list view for resources calendar. Users can increase the number of fields to add more attachments to a sent message. Users can subscribe to RSS feeds from WebService Library and Forum. The feeds notify users of new content in the Library folders and forums.

The new version of Integration Kit supports Microsoft Office 2010 applications. It also contains an Outlook plug-in application that can be used to export and import appointments between Teamware Office and Outlook Calendars.

Teamware Connection for SharePoint

Teamware Office 8.0 also contains features that are required by the Teamware Connection for SharePoint.

Teamware Connection for SharePoint is a separate product that allows integrating Teamware Office with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. Features include single-sign on (SSO), entreprise search covering also Teamware Library and Forum content, content sharing between SharePoint documents and Teamware Office applications, a Teamware page and WebParts that can be embedded to SharePoint. The Teamware page and WebParts offer access to Teamware functionality and content.
